RTAC
is an advisory committee to the
RTC Board of Directors, which coordinates and guides the regional
transportation planning program in accordance with Board policy. The Committee
is responsible for coordination of regional transportation technical issues and
for providing technical advice to the Board.
The Bi-State Transportation Committee was originally established in 1999 to
provide a forum for the review of bi-state transportation issues. RTC, the
Metro Council and
JPACT
as regional partners agreed to broaden the committee’s scope, and in 2004
reconstituted it as the Bi-State Coordination Committee. The committee’s new
Charter and Bylaws identified land use, economic development and transportation
as issues to be addressed. The committee is a standing advisory committee on
bi-state issues and makes recommendations to RTC and Metro/JPACT. Membership
includes six from Clark County and seven from the Portland metro area. Its
principal charge is to sustain a regional dialogue, to share information, and
encourage bi-state collaboration.
The Klickitat County Transportation Policy Committee is an advisory committee to the RTC Board of Directors, established to provide a focus for Klickitat County regional transportation issues and policies. It is composed of representatives of WSDOT, Klickitat County, the City of Bingen, the City of Goldendale, the City of White Salmon, and the Port of Klickitat.
Both the Board of Directors and
RTAC
meet monthly, on the First Tuesday and Third
Friday respectively. Occasionally, these meetings need to be relocated or
cancelled, so be sure to check the calendar here for possible changes.
Generally, both meetings are held in the sixth floor training room of the Clark
County Public Service Center,
1300 Franklin Street,
Vancouver, Washington. This location is served by
C-TRAN Route 3.
